From Central Station (Statzione Centrale Catania) you can get to the Department of Physics and Astronomy in three different ways:

By car
If you arrive from Messina proceeding on highway Messina-Catania (A18), after the toll stop follow direction to Catania. After the second tunnel take the exit "Catania-Ovest" to Viale Andrea Doria. Continuing on Viale Andrea Doria, after less than one km, main pedestrian entrance to "Cittadella Universitaria" (Viale Andrea Doria 6) will be on your left. Continue on Viale Andrea Doria and turn on the right at the first junction in Via Santa Sofia. "Cittadella Universitaria" car entrance is the third you find on the right. Department of Physics and Astronomy is the first building you find on the right after the entrance (it's the number 6).
For those heading from airport, Palermo or Siracusa, take exit "tangenziale OVEST" and continue until you find exit "circonvallazione". After 5-6 km "Cittadella Universitaria" will be on your left. Take a U turn and turn right on Via Santa Sofia.
